My Autumn Lipstick Collection

I always choose more plum/burgundy shades over my usual nude or muted pink shades in the Autumn months. Here are some lipsticks that I have been wearing a lot recently.

Mac 'Plumful' (Lustre)

This is a really nice everyday wear lipstick, it gives a sheer wash of colour on the lips which makes it perfect for wearing during the day if you want a more natural look. It's a lovely medium 'pinkened' plum, the moisturizing formula makes it a comfortable lipstick to wear (especially if you suffer from dry lips like myself!) However as it's such a sheer lipstick it doesn't last very long on the lips but that doesn't bother me as I don't mind re applying every once in a while.

Laura Geller in 'Rosato'

This is a lipstick with a bit of an added kick- it contains an anti-aging formula and is fortified with resveratrol and hyaluronic filling spheres (huh?) That is a bit over my head if i'm honest, but it does apply like a dream; it's a creamy, wine-scented lipsticks that glides over the lips smoothly. Once applied it transfers as a plum rose shade, it is one of the darker lipsticks that I own and I love wearing it for evenings out.

No7 Moisture Drench in 'Plumful Beautiful'

I am having a bit of a love affair of sorts with No7 lipsticks at the minute, especially the moisture drench range. The formula is hydrating and long lasting- what's not too love? This has been my most recent addition and I love it! It's perfect for wearing during the day as it is something of a 'darkened nude.' It is, I hate to say it a 'your lips but better' kinda lipstick.

No7 Moisture Drench in 'Soft Earth'

This shade is quite similar to the Laura Geller 'Rosato' lipstick, however it is a little more coral. It is a warm toned lipstick that is perfect for paler skin. It's highly pigmented like 'plumful beautiful' and applies a full coverage in one application.

Autumn/Winter Perfumes

Like a lot of people I like to switch up my perfumes for the colder months, picking a heavier almost masculine scent over light floral fragrances. Here's a few of my favourites for the coming chilly months!

First up is
Jo Malone 'Dark Amber & Ginger Lily Cologne'
This cologne is part of their intense range and is my personal favourite. It's a warm, aromatic scent that is perfect for the colder months. It is quite strong and may not be for everyone- if you find yourself at a Jo Malone counter you should give this a sniff!

Top note: Black cardamon
Heart note: Black Orchid
Base note: Kyara incense

£105 for 100ml

Yves Saint Laurent 'Black Opium'

If i'm honest I wear this perfume throughout the year as I am completely addicted to it! It's a feminine fragrance; sweet and floral with a heavier edge due to the black coffee top notes. Definitely one of my favourite autumn/winter scents!

Top notes: Black coffee
Heart notes: White floral
Base notes: Vanilla

£44 for 30ml

Zara mens aftershave 'Gold'

Okay, this a bit of a strange one as yes, it is a men's aftershave but it is such a unisex scent! This little gem is quite unique in it's fragrance as it is woody yet has an almost citrus edge to it. Also, it's a great one for chucking in your handbag due to it's dinky size!

Top note: Fruity calabrian lemon
Heart notes: Praline & ebony
Base note: Patchouli

£5.99 for 30ml

The White Company 'Noir' eau de toilette

I actually discovered this while having a noisy at my mums perfume collection not so long ago. It's a bit of a dupe for Jo Malones Pomegranate Noir and if your on a budget this one from The White
Company is definately worth checking out! It is a floral yet warm and musky scent combining amber, mandarin and sandalwood to create a sophisticated fragrance.

Top note: Amber
Heart note: Mandarin
Bade note: Sandalwood

£30 for 30ml
